“37-Year-Old Charged in Thunder Bay Firearms Incident”

A man, aged 37, is charged with firearms offenses after an incident on the south side of Thunder Bay on Thursday morning. Law enforcement responded to May and Bethune streets around 1 a.m. and maintained a presence at the Tim Hortons on May Street North for most of the day. The individual is accused of multiple offenses, including trying to commit murder with a restricted firearm, firing a gun with intent, and possessing a concealed weapon. Following a court appearance on Thursday, he was detained in custody. No injuries have been reported in connection with the event, and the inquiry is ongoing.
