Two days following the apprehension of former reality TV personality Joseph Duggar from “19 Kids and Counting,” his spouse Kendra Duggar also faced an arrest warrant in Tontitown, Arkansas. The Tontitown Arkansas Police Department disclosed that Kendra Duggar was indicted on Friday for four counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment in the second degree. These identical charges were likewise leveled against Joseph Duggar, who was initially arrested the preceding Wednesday for inappropriate conduct with a minor under 12 years old, according to a release by the Tontitown Police Department. The allegations stem from the purported 2020 molestation of a 9-year-old girl in Panama Beach, Fla., as per the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. Joseph Duggar admitted to the actions when confronted by the victim’s father and Tontitown Detectives on March 17, 2026.

Joseph Duggar, who was apprehended in Tontitown, chose to waive his extradition hearing on Friday, paving the way for his transfer to Florida to face the child molestation accusations. Kendra Duggar, on the other hand, was released shortly after her arrest upon posting a $1,470 US bond, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office website. The Duggar family did not provide a comment to CBC News upon request on Monday.

The fresh charges against both Joseph and Kendra Duggar emerge nearly five years after Joseph Duggar’s elder sibling Josh was convicted of downloading illicit child images. Investigators testified that a computer at a dealership owned by Josh Duggar was utilized in 2019 to acquire images depicting child sexual abuse, resulting in a prison sentence of 12½ years in 2022. Josh and Joseph Duggar were both featured on the reality show “19 Kids and Counting,” which tracked the lives of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar as they raised their children, all named beginning with the letter J.

The show was terminated in 2015 after allegations surfaced that Josh Duggar had molested his sisters and a babysitter years earlier. Authorities investigated the claims but determined that the statute of limitations had expired. Subsequently, a follow-up series, “Counting On,” was canceled following Josh Duggar’s arrest. Joseph and Kendra Duggar’s courtship and marriage were showcased on the program, but they have since retreated from the public eye, with their latest public Instagram post dating back to 2021, commemorating their third child’s second birthday.
