Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and her doubles partner Erin Routliffe from New Zealand have decided to end their partnership in doubles tennis. The duo achieved success in 2025 by clinching three doubles titles at prestigious events such as Stuttgart, Cincinnati, and the U.S. Open.

Reflecting on their journey, Dabrowski shared on Instagram, “Titles, tears, and triumphs—a whirlwind of emotions that took us by surprise. As our professional collaboration concludes, our friendship endures.”

Despite playing under New Zealand’s banner, Routliffe, who also holds Canadian citizenship, had previously represented Canada in tennis. Dabrowski and Routliffe joined forces in 2023, securing their maiden Grand Slam victory at the U.S. Open that year.

While the official announcement confirming their split was made on Wednesday, Dabrowski and Routliffe had already started playing with different partners towards the end of the recent season. However, they reunited briefly at the WTA Finals before parting ways.
