Three additional individuals have been charged in connection with a deadly shooting incident that occurred in St. John’s in April. Law enforcement officials claim that these individuals assisted the suspected shooter and driver in evading capture.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary announced in a press release on Monday that two women and one man have been charged with accessory after the fact to murder in the case involving the death of Gerald Kyle Hynes, 33, from St. John’s. While the identities of these three individuals were not disclosed, it was mentioned that their ages range from 18 to 25. They have been released under specific conditions and are scheduled to appear in court.

The fatal shooting of Hynes took place on Watson Street on April 8, triggering a two-day pursuit that culminated in the apprehension of Ibrahim Hussein, then 19 years old, on the west coast of Newfoundland. Hussein was discovered hiding in a vehicle’s trunk at a Marine Atlantic ferry terminal. He was subsequently charged with first-degree murder and multiple firearms offenses. Additionally, the driver of the vehicle, Hussein Hussein, faces charges of accessory after the fact to murder and obstruction of justice.
