Taylor Swift, a confirmed fan of the “Toy Story” franchise, announced on Monday that she will be contributing an original song to the upcoming fifth installment of the film series. The track titled “I Knew It, I Knew You” is set to be released on June 5.

Taking to Instagram, Swift shared her excitement about the collaboration, expressing her lifelong admiration for the beloved characters she grew up with. The news was cleverly teased through a countdown on her website, featuring imagery of the cowgirl character Jessie and the singer’s initials integrated into the movie’s iconic font.

Fans on social media were quick to pick up on the hints dropped by Pixar, including a video showcasing a TS billboard alongside dancing Jessie, reminiscent of Swift’s hit song “Shake it Off.” The presence of 13 clouds on the billboard, a nod to Swift’s favorite number, fueled speculation even further.

Additionally, eagle-eyed fans noticed subtle references to Swift’s music in the promotional material for the film, such as clouds replacing birds on the cover art of her album “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” These connections added to the excitement surrounding Swift’s involvement in the project.

This isn’t Swift’s first foray into the world of animation, as she previously lent her voice to the character Audrey in the 2012 film “The Lorax” and made a guest appearance on Disney’s “Take Two with Phineas and Ferb.”

“Toy Story 5” is scheduled to premiere on June 19, reuniting iconic voice actors Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as Woody and Buzz. The film will explore themes of technology as the beloved characters face a new challenge in their latest adventure.
