Grammy-Nominated Producer Tay Keith Found Dead in Nashville

Tributes are flooding in from the hip-hop community following the untimely passing of Grammy-nominated music producer Tay Keith. The 29-year-old was discovered deceased in his Nashville residence during a welfare check conducted by authorities on Thursday, as reported by the Metro Nashville Police Department. While the exact cause of death remains undetermined, no foul play is suspected, and an autopsy is scheduled.

Known by his birth name Brytavious Chambers, Keith collaborated with renowned artists such as Drake, Beyoncé, Lil Nas X, and Eminem. At the age of 23, he received his first Grammy nomination in 2019 for his production on Travis Scott’s hit track “Sicko Mode.” Subsequently, he earned another nomination in 2024 for his contributions to Drake and 21 Savage’s song “Rich Flex.”

In recognition of his talent and impact, Keith was featured on the Forbes “30 under 30 music” list in the previous year. Various figures in the music industry, including Memphis producer Hitkidd and DJ Scheme from Florida, have paid tribute to Keith’s legacy.

Memphis rapper BlocBoy JB, an early collaborator of Keith, expressed his shock and sorrow by sharing a broken-heart emoji on his Instagram story along with a heartfelt message lamenting their last conversation.
