The Regina Police Service is currently conducting an investigation following the discovery of a deceased man inside a residence on 12th Avenue during the early hours of Saturday morning. Responding to a call, officers arrived at the 1000 block of 12th Avenue just before 1 a.m. and found the man deceased within the premises, as stated in a news release issued on Saturday.
The vicinity was cordoned off, and specialized units including major crime and forensic identification teams were brought in to assist with the investigation. Police tape surrounded the property at 1000 12th Ave., situated at the intersection of Winnipeg Street, with police vehicles, including a forensic identification van, present outside the residence on Saturday afternoon.
According to Regina police, it is still the initial stages of their inquiry, and no additional information is available at this time. The identity and age of the deceased individual have not been disclosed, and it has not been indicated whether the circumstances surrounding the death are deemed suspicious.
