Foul play is being investigated in the disappearance of an individual residing in a unit at a Kitchener residence where a suspicious fire occurred last month. Eli Wood, aged 25 and a resident of the rear unit on Major Street, has not been located by authorities.
On October 19 at 6 a.m., fire crews responded to the residence following reports that the rear unit was fully engulfed in flames. The fire, deemed arson by the police, was contained but resulted in significant property damage.
Investigations are ongoing, with Waterloo regional police collaborating with the Office of the Fire Marshal. Details regarding the fire’s cause have not yet been disclosed.
Described as around four feet, 10 inches tall and weighing between 85 and 95 pounds, Wood has distinguishing features such as green eyes, partial white eyebrows and eyelashes, and white hair patches. Additionally, Wood bears tattoos of a flower and seahorse on the left forearm and a rainbow on the right upper arm.
