During the ticket sale frenzy on Ticketmaster Thursday morning, tickets were quickly snatched up, leaving thousands of hopeful fans empty-handed. Scalpers are now reselling tickets at exorbitant prices, some exceeding $1,000 per seat.
After clinching the American League Division Series title by defeating the Yankees 5-2 in Game 4, the Blue Jays jubilantly celebrated in New York City, with George Springer, drenched in champagne, expressing his pride in the team’s performance.
Springer shared his excitement, stating, “This is why you play the game. This is incredible. So happy for our city, our fans. This is awesome,” in an interview with CBC News.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., another key player for the Blue Jays, emphasized the importance of maintaining their current level of performance to continue their success. “The year is not finished. We have eight more [games] to go,” he remarked.
In a viral interview with FOX Sports, Guerrero Jr. celebrated the victory over the Yankees by chanting “Daaa Yankees lose!” alongside Red Sox legend David Ortiz.
