Boyertown, Pennsylvania, a town with a rich baseball tradition, is now embracing the Toronto Blue Jays alongside one of its own who is making waves in the World Series.

Trey Yesavage, a 22-year-old rookie pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, hails from Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Boyertown, where he played for his high school team under the guidance of coach Todd Moyer.

Moyer shared that he witnessed an increasing number of Toronto Blue Jays supporters in Pennsylvania, evident by people sporting Yesavage-themed attire during his rise to fame in the World Series. Notably, during Game 5, Yesavage set a rookie record by striking out L.A. Dodgers players 12 times.

Reflecting on Yesavage’s journey, Moyer, a close family friend and former coach, expressed awe at his accomplishments. He recounted Yesavage’s remarkable performance against the Yankees and highlighted the young pitcher’s calm and professional demeanor on the field.
