Liam Hickey netted two goals as Canada secured a 3-1 victory over Czech Republic in Para Cup hockey action held in Dawson Creek, B.C. Vincent Boily also contributed a goal for Canada, propelling them to a 2-0 record following their dominant 7-0 win against China in the tournament opener. Vaclav Hecko managed to score the lone goal for the Czech team with just 6:36 remaining in the game.
The game saw a scoreless first period, with Boily breaking the deadlock 2:10 into the second period. Hickey extended Canada’s lead nearly ten minutes later before scoring his second goal at 11:56 in the third period to make it 3-0. Up next, Canada is set to face off against archrivals the United States on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET.
