“Canada to Face USA in Para Cup Final Rematch”

Canada is set to compete against a familiar opponent in the final of the Para Cup. Dominic Cozzolino’s stellar performance, including two goals and three assists, propelled the host team to a 7-0 victory over the Czech Republic, securing their place in the championship game. In the other semifinal match, the United States, who previously defeated Canada 3-2 in the round-robin stage, dominated China with a 13-2 win.

James Dunn contributed significantly to Canada’s success with two goals and two assists against the Czech team. Goalkeeper Corbin Watson made 12 crucial saves, securing a shutout for the home team. On the other side, Patrik Sedlacek made 31 saves for the Czech Republic but couldn’t prevent the loss. The Czech team will now face China in the bronze medal match.

Cozzolino and Dunn’s goals in the first period, followed by another goal each in the second period, gave Canada a commanding 5-0 lead after two periods. Adam Dixon, Tyler McGregor, and Vincent Boily added goals in the subsequent periods to seal a comprehensive victory. The final match is scheduled for Saturday at 9 p.m. ET.
