The Calgary-based Cavalry FC has secured a spot in their third consecutive Canadian Premier League final. The defending champions, Cavalry, secured a 1-0 victory over regular-season champions Forge FC in the CPL Contender semifinal at Hamilton Stadium on Sunday. Tobias Warschewski found the net in the 57th minute for Cavalry, who will now face Atletico Ottawa in the upcoming North Star Cup final next Sunday. The North Star Cup has replaced the North Star Shield, which was previously presented to the CPL champions from 2019 to 2022.
