Drake Plans Exclusive Apology Event for Individuals Named Janice

Janice, if you are feeling offended by Drake’s track “Janice STFU,” you might have a chance to receive a formal apology directly from the Toronto-born artist. Drake’s representatives announced that he is organizing a special event exclusively for individuals named Janice who can provide valid government-issued identification.

In an Instagram story post, Drake mentioned, “All my Janice’s in NY, LA, MIA, TO, HOU, look out for my invitation for Sunday,” referring to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, and Houston. The post displayed a pile of letters addressed to people named Janice.

Described as “a formal apology to the Janices of Toronto,” Drake’s team confirmed via email that physical invitations had been sent out to Janices across the city. For those legally named Janice who did not receive an invitation, an RSVP option is available by emailing JSTFU@DRAKERELATED.COM.

To attend the event, individuals must present government-issued photo ID to verify their legal first name as Janice, omitting nicknames, middle names, or last names. This initiative stems from Drake’s popular song “Janice STFU” featured in his album “ICEMAN.”

The track quickly soared to the top of the charts, debuting at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. This marked Drake’s 14th chart-topping hit, surpassing Michael Jackson’s record for the most No. 1 hits by a male solo artist.

“Janice STFU” was part of a surprise release comprising three albums, including “ICEMAN,” “Habibti,” and “Maid of Honour.” A total of 42 songs from the albums secured spots on the Hot 100, with “Maid of Honour” and “Habibti” also making impressive debuts on the Billboard Global 200.

The exclusive event for Janices in Toronto is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 28, from 1-4 p.m. ET at the Cactus Club on Adelaide St.
