“Man Charged in Farming Accident Teen Death”

Ontario Provincial Police have reported that a 58-year-old man from North Middlesex is charged with criminal negligence causing death following the tragic incident where a 15-year-old teenager lost their life in a farming accident near Parkhill at the end of last month. The emergency response teams were summoned to a farm on Parkhill Drive in North Middlesex at approximately 4 p.m. on September 20, where they discovered the unconscious teen inside a well on the premises. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the 15-year-old from Arkona succumbed to the injuries. OPP Constable Jeff Hare confirmed that the teen was indeed working at the farm as an employee at the time of the accident. The North Middlesex Fire Department also played a role in the rescue operation. The cause of death has not been disclosed by the authorities. CBC News attempted to contact the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development regarding any potential investigation into the incident but did not receive a response prior to publishing.
