Prince Harry is scheduled to visit Toronto this week to show his support for veterans leading up to Remembrance Day. The Duke of Sussex will be in the city on Wednesday and Thursday for a series of events.
On Wednesday morning, Prince Harry will participate in various activities before attending a private lunch organized by the True Patriot Love Foundation, a group dedicated to assisting Canadian military members, veterans, and their families. In the evening, he will be present at a fundraising dinner supporting the HALO Trust, a cause that was also championed by his late mother, Princess Diana.
Thursday’s agenda includes a private visit to the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, confirmed by a spokesperson for the facility. Later that evening, he will attend True Patriot Love’s national tribute dinner. The organization did not provide any details regarding the royal visitor’s participation in the events.
Prince Harry, aged 41, is a military veteran with ten years of service in the British army, including two deployments in Afghanistan.
Following his move to the U.S. in 2020 with his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, the couple had initially resided in Canada before settling in Meghan’s home state of California.
In 2020, the couple announced their decision to step back from their roles as senior royals. Buckingham Palace later confirmed that Harry and Meghan would not resume their duties as working members of the Royal Family.
Prince Harry, the son of King Charles, is fifth in line to the throne, with Prince William and his three children ranking ahead of him in the Royal Family’s succession line.
