Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have joyfully welcomed their third child, a baby girl named Rocki Irish Mayers. This happy news was shared by Rihanna in a heartwarming Instagram post on Wednesday. The post featured a lovely snapshot of the 37-year-old singer with the newborn, along with a picture of adorable baby shoes.
The announcement of Rocki’s arrival was accompanied by a simple caption revealing the baby’s name, birth date, which was September 13, and a ribbon emoji. The couple initially revealed their pregnancy at the Met Gala back in May, where Rihanna flaunted her baby bump in a stylish pinstripe outfit and a striking hat.
During the Met Gala, Rocky, 36, who also served as a co-chair for the event, expressed their excitement, stating, “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.” This isn’t the first time the couple has made a splash with their pregnancy announcements, as Rihanna famously showcased her baby bump at the 2023 Super Bowl before the birth of their son, Riot Rose, later that year.
Their eldest child, RZA, was born in May 2022, after the couple made their relationship public in 2020. The recent addition to their family comes shortly after Rocky’s acquittal on firearms charges in Los Angeles earlier this year. Rihanna stood by his side throughout the trial, and their two sons were with her during the closing arguments.
Rihanna, a nine-time Grammy Award winner, boasts an impressive music career with 14 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including popular tracks like “We Found Love,” “Work,” “Umbrella,” and “Disturbia.” Apart from her music success, she founded Fenty Beauty in 2017 and has ventured into acting with roles in films like “Ocean’s Eight” and the series “Bates Motel.”
Rocky, on the other hand, kicked off his music career in 2011 as part of the hip-hop collective A$AP Mob. His debut studio album, “Live, Love, A$AP,” topped the charts in 2013. With two Grammy nominations under his belt, he recently starred alongside Denzel Washington in Spike Lee’s film “Highest 2 Lowest.”
