“Sabrina Carpenter Secures Restraining Order Against Intruder”

Pop singer Sabrina Carpenter has successfully obtained a temporary restraining order against an individual who attempted to intrude into her residence in Los Angeles without permission, which she described as deeply concerning incidents. Legal documents reveal that Carpenter is pursuing a permanent restraining order against 31-year-old William Applegate.

In a sworn statement, Carpenter detailed how Applegate unlawfully accessed a neighboring property on May 23 to breach the security fencing around her residence. He then proceeded to approach her front door and forcibly attempted to enter by grabbing the handle. Carpenter expressed her alarm at the deliberate and aggressive nature of Applegate’s actions, emphasizing it as a severe breach of her personal safety and privacy.

Carpenter cited Ring security camera footage as evidence of Applegate’s presence at her doorstep and alleged that despite intervention from her private security, he refused to depart. Furthermore, she refuted his false claim of familiarity with her, asserting it as a fabrication.

Following Applegate’s arrest on the initial day, Carpenter reported his subsequent return and extended presence outside her home, leading to further police intervention. She underscored the emotional distress caused by Applegate’s persistent stalking, trespassing, and surveillance.

Security investigations unveiled a month-long pattern of escalating behavior by Applegate, characterized by a troubling fixation on Carpenter. Detective Peter Doomanis of the Los Angeles Police Department highlighted the irrational nature of Applegate’s actions in a separate declaration.

A judge has mandated that Applegate maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from Carpenter, her residence, vehicle, workplace, as well as her sister and sister’s boyfriend. A court hearing is scheduled for June 17, with Applegate facing criminal trespassing charges on June 18.
