“Strong Winds Expected in Waterloo, Guelph, Wellington County”

Share

Gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 80 km/h are forecasted for the Waterloo region, Guelph, and Wellington County on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Environment Canada has issued a special weather alert indicating that the current southwesterly winds will shift to northwesterly as a cold front moves through the area. The agency warns that these strong wind gusts may displace loose objects and potentially lead to tree branches breaking, increasing the risk of power outages.

As the day progresses, the winds are anticipated to weaken, with a chance of showers and a daytime high of 11°C expected. Overnight, there is a 70% likelihood of rain and possible flurries, with temperatures dropping to a low of 2°C. Thursday’s weather is predicted to be overcast, with another 70% chance of rain or flurries and a high temperature of 7°C.
