The Toronto Tempo are gearing up for their inaugural appearance in the upcoming 2026 Women’s National Basketball League season kick-off on May 8. Scheduled to face the Washington Mystics at Coca-Cola Coliseum, the Tempo will be part of the trio of opening matches in their 44-game season announced on Wednesday.

Amid ongoing negotiations between WNBA players and the league for a new collective bargaining agreement, Toronto is poised to primarily play their home games at Coca-Cola Coliseum. However, they will showcase their talents at Scotiabank Arena, the revered home venue of the NHL’s Maple Leafs and NBA’s Raptors, for three games.

The upcoming season will see the Phoenix Mercury at Scotiabank Arena on June 27, followed by the Minnesota Lynx on July 30, and a face-off with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on August 18. Additionally, the Tempo will hit the road for games at the Bell Centre in Montreal, squaring off against Dallas on July 10 and New York on July 12. They will also make a stop at Rogers Arena in Vancouver for matchups against fellow expansion team Portland on August 21 and reigning champions Las Vegas on August 23.
