The fatal incident occurred in a Brampton, Ont., plaza, where Anthony Deschepper, 38, allegedly shot and killed Kulla-Davies before fleeing with their 17-month-old daughter, triggering an Amber Alert. Deschepper was later fatally shot by police in Niagara Falls.
Kulla-Davies’s family recalled how she embarked on what seemed like a typical day, grabbing a drink from Starbucks before heading to meet Deschepper at the plaza. The meeting was intended to allow Deschepper to see their daughter, showcasing Kulla-Davies’s compassionate nature despite their relationship status.
Known for her love for dance and her work as a social worker, Kulla-Davies transitioned to prioritize motherhood after having four children. Her father and brother described her as a devoted and successful mother, highlighting her dedication to her children.
Although Kulla-Davies had her hands full caring for her children, her brother emphasized her unwavering support and kindness towards others. The family expressed their profound grief and love for Kulla-Davies, wishing for her return.
Deschepper’s history of firearm charges and the delay in addressing his case were revealed, with Kulla-Davies previously filing a complaint against him.
