“Wildfire near Ompah, Ontario Contained; Evacuees Return”

A wildfire near Ompah, Ontario, which caused residents to evacuate their homes west of Ottawa, has been contained, and authorities in North Frontenac Township have given the green light for evacuees to return. The fire broke out on Sunday, leading to the evacuation of approximately 15 to 20 individuals and the closure of Road 509. The road was reopened on Tuesday evening, with the township officially lifting the evacuation recommendation later that same day. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or damage to any infrastructure as a result of the wildfire incident.
