The Canadian actor took to social media to address rumors about his well-being that arose after reports surfaced claiming he had been rushed to the hospital. Shatner clarified in an Instagram post that he was simply dealing with overindulgence and emphasized the importance of not believing tabloids or artificial intelligence.

In the post, Shatner can be seen sporting a mustache in a suit with a caption stating, “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated!” This phrase is a play on Mark Twain’s famous quote about reports of his own death being exaggerated.

Earlier, TMZ had reported that the 94-year-old actor was hospitalized due to a blood sugar issue but was discharged the same day. Concerns about Shatner’s health spread across various media outlets, prompting reassurances from fans on social media.

Known for his iconic role as Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek series and subsequent movies, Shatner has remained active in the entertainment industry. He recently starred in the romantic comedy Senior Moment and featured in the documentary You Can Call Me Bill, reflecting on his extensive career. Additionally, Shatner made headlines for embarking on a 10-minute space journey aboard Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin spacecraft at the age of 91, setting a record as the oldest person to travel to space.
