Los Angeles authorities apprehended a woman for reportedly firing gunshots near the residence of acclaimed singer Rihanna, as per police statements and media reports. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and it remains uncertain if the music icon was present during the incident on Sunday afternoon.
Law enforcement was alerted to gunshots near a property in Beverly Hills, as confirmed by Officer Charles Miller on Monday. Subsequently, a 35-year-old suspect was peacefully taken into custody, and a firearm was seized by the police. The individual faces charges of attempted murder and is being held on a $10 million bail, although the district attorney has not yet disclosed formal charges.
While the homeowner’s identity was not specified by Miller, numerous local sources indicated the property belongs to Rihanna. Property records link the Beverly Hills estate to a trust managed by Evan Jehle, who serves on the advisory board of Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation. Requests for comments from Rihanna’s representatives went unanswered.
Visual evidence from KABC-TV displayed apparent bullet marks on the property’s front gate, with a police dispatcher disclosing ten gunshots originating from a vehicle across the street. The arrested woman’s connection to Rihanna, if any, remains unclear. Notably, in 2018, another individual was charged with breaking into a different Hollywood Hills residence owned by Rihanna, leading to charges of stalking, vandalism, and resisting arrest in 2019.
Renowned for her music achievements, including multiple Grammy Awards and chart-topping hits like “We Found Love” and “Umbrella,” Rihanna also expanded her empire with the launch of Fenty Beauty in 2017. Recently, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, in September.
