Zahara Jolie Files to Remove Father’s Name

Zahara Marley Jolie, who recently celebrated her 21st birthday and graduated from college, has officially filed to change her last name by removing her father’s name. Court records reveal that the name change request to Zahara Marley Jolie was submitted on June 5. Her brother, aged 24, also filed to change his name to Maddox Chivan Jolie a few days earlier. In 2024, their younger sibling, Shiloh, had already removed Pitt from her name.

The decision to alter their names has reignited curiosity about the family dynamics of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who have been in the spotlight since they began dating in 2005 and especially after their contentious separation in 2016. The couple finalized their divorce settlement after an eight-year legal process. During this time, Jolie accused Pitt of physical violence towards her and their children, although Pitt’s representative denied these claims. The FBI reviewed the situation but did not pursue further action.

In 2016, Jolie was granted sole custody of their six children, aged between eight and 15 at the time, with the agreement stipulating continued therapeutic visits with Pitt. Pitt has been open about his struggles with alcohol and his journey towards sobriety since 2016, attributing his sobriety to Alcoholics Anonymous for almost a decade.

Despite Pitt’s efforts to maintain sobriety, there are indications of unresolved issues with his children as he has not been seen in public with them for a considerable period. In contrast, Jolie frequently includes her children in public appearances and discussions with the media.

Efforts to obtain a comment from Pitt’s representatives regarding the recent developments have been unsuccessful.
