As Canada takes a moment to honor those who have served, CBC London is inviting individuals to share stories of individuals who hold significance to them on Remembrance Day. This could be a grandparent who served overseas, a parent who served domestically, or a friend or neighbor who wore a uniform. Whether they were on the frontlines, working behind the scenes, or supporting others through their service, their narratives serve as a reminder of the significance of this day.
Listeners are encouraged to participate in London Morning on Tuesday, November 11, by sharing reflections on the person they are commemorating and expressing gratitude for their impact. Submissions can be made by recording a brief voice memo or MP3 on a phone and emailing it to londonmorning@cbc.ca by 5 p.m. on Monday. Alternatively, texts can be sent to 519-281-6593. Include your name, location, the name of the individual being remembered, and a few words about their service and its personal significance.
Selected stories may be featured during the Tuesday morning show as part of the Remembrance Day coverage on London Morning with Andrew Brown, airing live at 93.5 FM and streaming on cbc.ca/london from 6 to 8:37 a.m., Monday to Friday.
