Sarah Nurse netted two goals and Tereza Vanisova contributed a goal and an assist to guide the Vancouver Goldeneyes to a resounding 5-0 victory over the Toronto Sceptres in their first PWHL home win of 2026. The Goldeneyes seized control with three goals in the second period, including unassisted goals from Nurse and Vanisova just 11 seconds apart.

In addition to Nurse and Vanisova’s heroics, Izzy Daniel and Abigail Boreen also found the back of the net for Vancouver. Goaltender Kristen Campbell posted a shutout with 24 saves against her former team, while Elaine Chuli made 23 saves for Toronto, which has struggled with six losses in their last seven games.

Daniel scored early in the second period with an assist from Jenn Garnder, extending Vancouver’s lead. Vanisova increased the advantage to 2-0 with a wraparound goal, and Nurse further delighted the home crowd with a third-period goal.

The game marked a rematch of the Sceptres’ previous 2-1 overtime victory over the Goldeneyes. Notably, forward Anna Meixner made an impactful debut for Vancouver after being acquired in a trade, while the Sceptres faced challenges, including a rush broken up by defender Kali Flanagan early in the game.

A key moment occurred when Campbell denied Toronto’s Daryl Watts on a breakaway following Daniel’s goal. Sarah Nurse’s impressive return from injury yielded three goals in just two games.

The Goldeneyes will travel to Denver to battle the Seattle Torrent next, while the Sceptres are set to visit the Montreal Victoire in their upcoming fixture.
