Christina Ricci Slams Jimmy Fallon for Conor McGregor Appearance

Actress Christina Ricci criticized Jimmy Fallon for featuring mixed martial artist Conor McGregor on his late-night show. In 2024, an Irish civil court jury found McGregor liable for sexual assault at a 2018 Dublin party, ordering him to pay the victim, Nikita Hand, 250,000 euros. Despite McGregor’s denial and failed appeals, criminal charges were not pursued due to insufficient evidence. A paramedic testified about the severity of Hand’s injuries.

Ricci, known for roles in films like “The Addams Family” and “Monster,” reposted an Instagram story condemning Fallon’s decision to host McGregor. The post, originally shared by Adam McRae, highlighted McGregor’s alleged assault of a woman, questioning why he was given a platform on Fallon’s show.

Neither Ricci nor Fallon’s representatives have responded to requests for comment. McGregor, a former UFC champion, is set to make a comeback on July 11 against Max Holloway. The Fallon-McGregor interview focused on lighter topics, sparking outrage given McGregor’s past misconduct, including allegations of sexual assault in 2023 and other assault incidents.

McGregor, who once held UFC titles, expressed his passion for fighting on the show. Despite his controversial past, McGregor continues to remain in the spotlight, with his recent acting role in a movie remake and a brief presidential bid in 2025. Viewers expressed dismay over the lack of acknowledgment of McGregor’s troubling history during his appearance on Fallon’s show.
