The hunt for a presumed lost foreign aircraft in the vicinity of Nuuk, Greenland, has been halted for the evening. Naviair, a state-run air traffic service provider, disclosed to CBC News that they were alerted on Saturday at approximately 4 p.m. local time about an absent small, single-engine plane. Throughout the day, Naviair, in conjunction with the Arctic Command and law enforcement, conducted extensive searches for the vanished aircraft. An announcement on Naviair’s website stated that the search has been put on hold due to unfavorable visibility and adverse weather conditions, with plans to recommence operations tomorrow morning. Naviair has not provided any additional information regarding the aircraft’s origin or the individuals aboard.
