CF Montreal has officially extended forward Prince Owusu’s contract for five years, the club revealed on Friday. The agreement covers the 2026, 2027, and 2027-28 seasons, with additional options for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 campaigns, utilizing targeted allocation funds.
During his debut season with the team in 2025, Owusu netted a total of 17 goals across various competitions, with 13 in Major League Soccer, two in the Canadian Championship, and two in the Leagues Cup. The 28-year-old was honored with CF Montreal’s prestigious Giuseppe-Saputo Trophy as the Most Valuable Player.
Initially acquired through a trade with Toronto FC on January 13, 2025, Owusu has a diverse international experience, having represented Germany at the under-15, U18, and U19 levels before receiving his first call-up to the Ghanaian national team just last month.
