When queried about his response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address at the UN that prompted diplomatic walkouts, Rae defended his decision to remain seated, advocating for active listening and dialogue as essential diplomatic tools. He emphasized the need for mutual recognition and dignity between Israel and Palestine to foster peace.
Reflecting on his UN ambassadorship, Rae highlighted the significance of his familial legacy in the role and acknowledged personal growth in listening skills and collaboration.
