Alena Sharp Overcomes Torn Meniscus to Finish LPGA Season

Hamilton’s Alena Sharp, a 44-year-old LPGA Tour player, revealed that she persevered through the remainder of the season despite a torn meniscus in her left knee. Sharp shared a photo on Instagram from a hospital bed, indicating her injury occurred in July. Despite the setback, she competed in five LPGA Tour events starting in August, including the CPKC Women’s Open, Canada’s premier golf championship. Additionally, Sharp participated in an Epson Tour event during August. The three-time Olympian acknowledged her disappointing performance this season but refused to blame it on the injury, expressing her determination to return to play in 2026.
