“Dollarama Garlic Powder Recall Due to Health Risk”

Garlic powder available at Dollarama is under recall, and Canadians are advised against consuming the affected product. The recall pertains to Heavenly Spices brand garlic powder packaged in 70 grams and sold nationwide. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued the recall notice earlier this week following a publication by the dollar store chain. CFIA’s release warned against using, selling, serving, or distributing the implicated product. The recall was initiated due to contamination with Bacillus cereus, a type of bacteria known to cause food poisoning. Symptoms of infection from Bacillus cereus include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
