Three individuals lost their lives in a tragic accident near Tillsonburg, Ontario, on Friday, as reported by provincial authorities. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) disclosed that the incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Mall Road, situated between Oxford Road 13 and Middletown Line. Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders discovered that an SUV and a pickup truck had collided on the road.
The occupants of the SUV were promptly transported to a hospital, where both passengers, hailing from Princeton and aged 77 and 60 respectively, were pronounced deceased. The 75-year-old driver of the SUV was airlifted to London but tragically succumbed to injuries later on.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 27-year-old individual, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and has been discharged from the hospital. The OPP has refrained from disclosing the residences of the drivers involved in the accident.
While authorities are conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash, they are urging individuals with any relevant information to come forward to aid in the inquiry.
