Canadian freestyle skier Marion Thénault secured the silver medal at the World Cup women’s aerials event in Ruka, Finland. Thénault earned 82.48 points in the final, marking her first podium finish of the season. Xu Mengtao from China claimed the gold medal with a score of 89.29, while Chen Meiting, also from China, took the bronze with 75.31 points.
Thénault’s journey to the podium included advancing from fifth place in the qualifiers to third in the initial final before landing on the second step of the podium. The 25-year-old athlete hailing from Sherbrooke, Quebec, previously won a bronze medal at the 2022 Beijing Olympics in the mixed team aerials event.
