A man with alleged connections to organized crime in Montreal is now facing charges related to a murder and cocaine trafficking and is in the process of being extradited to the United States. Atna Onha, also known as Tupac or 2-Pac, made a virtual appearance in a Montreal court on Tuesday, where the specific charges against him were kept confidential.
Sources from Radio-Canada revealed that the 40-year-old individual was apprehended by the RCMP early on Tuesday at the behest of the FBI in connection with the case involving Ryan Wedding, a former Team Canada Olympian who is now a fugitive. Wedding, a reputed Canadian drug lord, participated in the 2002 Olympic Games in Utah as a snowboarder and is currently featured on the FBI’s top 10 most-wanted fugitives list.
The U.S. State Department has put forth a reward of up to $10 million US for any information leading to Wedding’s arrest, the highest reward among the individuals on the list. Wedding is facing federal charges linked to three killings, a conspiracy involving cocaine trafficking, and allegations of heading a persistent criminal enterprise.
A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday in Washington, D.C., related to the case, as per reports from Radio-Canada. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and RCMP Commissioner Michael Duheme are anticipated to be present at the event.
According to sources from Radio-Canada, Ohna is affiliated with biker gangs and the Mafia in Montreal.
