Police in the Halifax region are currently investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday evening in North Preston. Nova Scotia RCMP responded to reports of gunshots near the intersection of Cain and Clarence streets around 5 p.m., as stated in a release issued on Monday. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Jayden Tynes, aged 28, with gunshot wounds. He later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The integrated RCMP and Halifax Regional Police Major Crime Unit is spearheading the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information or dashcam footage of the area between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on November 2 to come forward directly to the police.
