“U.S. Para Ice Hockey Team Beats Canada 3-2 in Para Cup”

Josh Pauls contributed a goal and an assist as the United States secured a 3-2 victory over Canada in the Para Cup hockey tournament in Dawson Creek, B.C. Jack Wallace and Declan Farmer also found the back of the net for the U.S., maintaining their unbeaten streak through three games. On the other hand, Tyler McGregor scored both goals for Canada.

U.S. head coach David Hoff praised his team’s competitive spirit despite some struggles in their defensive zone. He highlighted the team’s resilience, emphasizing key saves by goaltender Jen Lee and their ability to secure the win.

The scoring action began with Pauls opening the scoring in the first period, followed by Wallace extending the lead just before the end of the second period. McGregor managed to cut the deficit early in the third period, but Farmer quickly restored the U.S.’s two-goal advantage. McGregor completed his brace with a late goal in the game.

In the upcoming semifinals, Canada will face off against the Czech Republic, while the U.S. will take on China. Both matches are scheduled for Friday, with the medal games set to take place on Saturday.
