One individual has been arrested in connection with the recent act of vandalism at a Catholic high school in Whitehorse. The Yukon’s Education department disclosed that St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Secondary School suffered damage to 72 windows and doors on October 5th. Whitehorse RCMP revealed that the vandalism occurred between 4 and 6 a.m. on that Sunday.
The police have charged a male suspect from Whitehorse with mischief exceeding $5,000 and possessing a weapon for the intent of committing an offense. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on December 1st.
