A suspected case of arson is under investigation by Windsor police following a fire at a construction site in Ford City earlier this week. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Tuesday at a residential construction location near Ford Test Track Park on Cadillac Street.
Upon arrival, authorities found that Windsor firefighters had already put out the flames, which had engulfed a skid steer. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the fire caused approximately $30,000 in damages to construction equipment.
The arson unit is treating the fire as suspicious and is urging individuals to review their dash camera and surveillance footage from midnight to 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday for any potential evidence.
