Taylor Swift Tops Spotify’s All-Time Most Streamed Artists

Taylor Swift has emerged as the top artist on Spotify’s inaugural list of the most streamed artists of all time, which was released on Thursday morning. Following closely behind is Puerto Rican sensation Bad Bunny, who notably claimed the title of Spotify’s most played artist of the year in 2025, surpassing Swift. The two artists have been engaged in a back-and-forth battle for the top spot, with Swift reigning supreme in the previous two years and Bad Bunny holding the position from 2020 to 2023.

Among the other top artists on Spotify’s list are Drake in third place, followed by The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Eminem, Kanye West, Travis Scott, BTS, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, J Balvin, Rihanna, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Juice WRLD, in that specific order. Spotify did not disclose details regarding its data collection methods when questioned by The Associated Press.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Spotify has compiled lists of its most streamed albums, songs, podcasts, and audiobooks. Streaming plays a significant role in the music industry, accounting for 82% of revenue in the U.S., according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Spotify, founded in April 2006 in Sweden, stands as the largest platform globally, with over 31% of the market share, boasting 751 million users and 290 million subscribers across 184 markets.

Some of Spotify’s most streamed albums include Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti,” The Weeknd’s “Starboy,” Ed Sheeran’s “÷ (Deluxe),” Olivia Rodrigo’s “SOUR,” The Weeknd’s “After Hours,” SZA’s “SOS,” Post Malone’s “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” Taylor Swift’s “Lover,” Arctic Monkeys’ “AM,” Billie Eilish’s “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?,” Dua Lipa’s “Future Nostalgia,” and more.

On the list of Spotify’s most streamed songs of all time are The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” The Neighbourhood’s “Sweater Weather,” The Weeknd ft.
