Netflix is set to release a three-part docuseries called “The One About Matthew Perry,” offering a deeper look into the life of the late actor known for his role as Chandler Bing in the popular sitcom “Friends.” The series aims to provide insights into Perry’s journey from a rising comedic star to his iconic character on the TV show, shedding light on previously undisclosed aspects of his life, including his struggles with ketamine addiction.

The show will feature never-before-heard testimonies from Perry’s inner circle, including close friends and his sister Mia Perry Bowick, a grief specialist who has openly shared her emotional journey following Perry’s passing in 2023. In a statement, Bowick expressed her readiness to share her memories of loving and understanding the complexities of Perry as a complete individual beyond his on-screen persona.

Perry, who tragically died from a ketamine overdose at the age of 54, had individuals linked to his drug supply facing legal consequences. Dr. Salvador Plasencia, one of the individuals involved in providing Perry with ketamine, is currently appealing his 30-month prison sentence.

Netflix emphasized that the docuseries will not only focus on Perry’s admirers but will also delve into his private struggles, aiming to honor his legacy of honesty and advocacy.
