The Vancouver Goldeneyes, led by Claire Thompson, Sophie Jaques, and Izzy Daniel, staged an impressive comeback in the third period to defeat the Boston Fleet 4-3 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit during the Takeover Tour. Jamie Lee Rattray initially put Boston ahead 3-1 early in the third period, but Vancouver, with a crowd of 33,871 in attendance, fought back with goals from Thompson and Jaques to level the score.
Daniel then secured the lead for the Goldeneyes, with Emerance Maschmeyer holding strong in goal. Tereza VaniÅ¡ová and Michela Cava contributed to Thompson’s goal, while Daniel and Hannah Miller played crucial roles in Jaques’ power-play goal. Olivia Mobley opened the scoring for Boston, but Miller quickly equalized for Vancouver. Susanna Tapani and Vancouver’s Miller added goals before a scoreless second period.
Aerin Frankel made 17 saves for Boston, while Maschmeyer made 24 stops for Vancouver. This victory marked Vancouver’s first win in six away games during the 2025-26 PWHL Takeover Tour.
